How can I show my Love

how I feel inside?

I'd love to be perfect,

so perfection's what I tried

Oh He'll love me so much more

if I never fall!

But He showed me that's not it,

that's not it at all

With all my imperfections

He keeps loving me

He said, "I just want you to trust me,

trust me and believe"

But then I read of Daniel

and how each day he prayed

No matter what the people said,

he prayed 3 times a day!

So then I said "That's what I'll do,

I'll do it Daniel's way"

But when I forced myself to pray...

I'd find no words to say!

Then I read of David!

Yes a man after God's own heart

I'll be like him, I'll sing and dance,

yes, that's the way to start!

I sang, I danced, like David did.

"I love you, now you'll see!"

But when I met Goliath's threats,

it took my joy from me!

Solomon, you've got it!

Wisdom's what he wants

So I'll be wise and call down sin,

and wicked men confront!

My love will know I love him...

cause I hate wickedness!

But when I confronted all the sin,

love is what I missed.

Well, just the other day

in the quietness of home

"If you want to show your love for Me,

be yourself alone."

"You'll have a dance and you'll have joy,

wisdom you'll have too."

"just show your love for me,

the best way that pleases you"

"It's really nice that you keep trying

to be like all these men,

But your an individual

with different qualities within!"

"My Kingdom's not of clones,

or some play that's acted out"

"You just show your love for Me,

I'll be pleased No doubt!"
