These same leaders, presenting a different gospel, one that actually perverts and comes against the Gospel of Christ, are widely accepted and highly esteemed. Why? Because they tell the people what they want to hear. We are seeing a repetition of the same thing spoken of in Isa 30:10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits. We like our corrupted faith teachings. We like our health, wealth and prosperity gospels. We like the idea that we can receive the blessings of God without having to keep His commandments, or give up any of the things of this world that we love. Know that we can make anything into an 'idol'... other people, SELF, groups, causes, possessions, addictions, every aspect of our life in this world is suitable for becoming an idol in our lives.

Forget about 2Co 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

Forget about Lev 20:7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.

Instead, know that we have arrived at the place where it can be said of us..."For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables" 2Ti 4:3-4.

Far too many of those who were first called by God have turned aside after their own lusts, taking multitudes with them into their false teachings. We have forgotten the Lord God... in our rush to find spiritual power. We have bought into the lies and deceptions of the enemy, and have no discernment. The very same instructions given to the house of Israel apply to us in this, the last generation:

"HEAR THE word which the Lord speaks to you, O house of Israel. Thus says the Lord: Learn not the way of the [heathen] nations and be not dismayed at the signs of the heavens, though they are dismayed at them, For the customs and ordinances of the peoples are false, empty, and futile; it is but a tree which one cuts out of the forest [to make for himself a god], the work of the hands of the craftsman with the ax or other tool. They deck [the idol] with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers so it will not fall apart or move around. [Their idols] are like pillars of turned work [as upright and stationary and immobile as a palm tree], like scarecrows in a cucumber field; they cannot speak; they have to be carried, for they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, neither is it possible for them to do good [and it is not in them]. None at all is like You, O Lord; You are great, and Your name is great in might. Who would not fear You, O King of the nations? For it is fitting to You and Your due! For among all the wise [men or gods] of the nations and in all their kingdoms, there is none like You. But they are altogether irrational and stupid and foolish. Their instruction is given by idols who are but wood [it is a teaching of falsity, emptiness, futility]! Silver beaten [into plates] is brought from Tarshish and gold from Uphaz, the work of the craftsman and of the hands of the goldsmith; the [idols'] clothing is violet and purple--they are all the work of skillful men. But the Lord is the true God and the God of truth (the God Who is Truth). He is the living God and the everlasting King. At His wrath the earth quakes, and the nations are not able to bear His indignation. Thus shall you say to them: The gods, who did not make the heavens and the earth, shall perish from the earth and from under the heavens. God made the earth by His power; He established the world by His wisdom and by His understanding and skill stretched out the heavens. When He utters His voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth. He makes lightnings for the rain and brings forth the wind out from His treasuries and from His storehouses. Every man has become like a brute, irrational and stupid, without knowledge [of God]; every goldsmith is brought to shame by his graven idols; for his molten images are frauds and falsehood, and there is no breath in them. They are devoid of worth, usefulness, or truth, a work of delusion and mockery; in their time of trial and punishment they shall [helplessly] perish. The Portion of Jacob [the true God on Whom Israel has a claim] is not like these, for He is the Fashioner and Maker of all things, and Israel is the tribe of His inheritance--the Lord of hosts is His name" Jeremiah 10:1-16.

Amidst all of the deceptions that are running through the churches of men in this hour, there is one thing that is utterly absent... that being the Fear of the LORD. Men have contrived a false image of their maker, one that is no different than all the other lifeless gods devised by men. Instead of a Righteous and Holy God, the god of the masses today is only love. Men have become so very wise, that they have discovered how to manipulate and coerce God by the clever application of His own Word. There are those who would teach you how to 'name it and claim it' by standing on select passages of scripture, and then assure you that God HAS To Do what you want, because he cannot go against His own word. The same caliber of wise men have determined that Eternal Punishment is inhumane... God would have to be some kind of sadist... 'who would want to follow such a God'... they ask. So now we have 'designer god's' ... to fit the apostate minds of all who reject the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Does this summation sound harsh to you? Here are some of the things that God has said regarding making our own idols...

"Little children, keep yourselves from idols (false gods)--[from anything and everything that would occupy the place in your heart due to God, from any sort of substitute for Him that would take first place in your life]. Amen (so let it be)" 1 John 5:21.

"That I may lay hold of the house of Israel in the thoughts of their own mind and heart, because they are all estranged from Me through their idols. Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God: Repent and turn away from your idols, and turn away your faces from all your abominations" Ezekiel 14:5-6.

"Therefore speak to them and say to them, Thus says the Lord God: Every man of the house of Israel who takes his idols [of self-will and unsubmissiveness] into his heart and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity [idols of silver and gold] before his face, and yet comes to the prophet [to inquire of him], I the Lord will answer him, answer him according to the multitude of his idols" Ezekiel 14:4.

There is grave danger in following after our own imaginations, conjuring up a god of our own design. God may give us our hearts desire...

"Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness" 2Th 2:9-12.

All of our opinions and ideas are little more than dust in the wind, without any reality, form or substance. "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness" Rom 1:18.

What are you doing with God's Truth? Are you treasuring it or throwing it away?

"But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile" Rom 2:5-9.

There is a day of reckoning coming...we will see the indignation and wrath of a Holy God's judgment. And at that time, all the designed deity's in the world will be impotent and utterly destroyed.

Isaiah 8:13 Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.

Jesus said in Luke 12:5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. We have a decision to make ... whose voice will we listen to? Who will we follow? In what will we put our faith and trust? Right now is the time to make up our minds, because time as we have known it is running out. 1 Kings 18:39 And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God.
