~ Days Like Noah ~

DAYS LIKE NOAH

Matthew 24:38-39 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Over 30 years ago I was in a meeting called a full gospel businessmen meeting. I really loved those meetings because they were outside of my church and there was a certain freedom that I experienced on the outside that I didn't have on the inside. On this particular meeting there was a testimony of a vision a man had and he was quite alarmed about it. His alarm was mainly because of wheat and a storm that he saw in this vision.

He saw a large wheat field that had turned to a beautiful golden color, ready to be harvested. On the outside of the field was some combines being prepared with their motors running. Now at the same time there was a terrible storm with terrible black clouds and wind coming towards the wheat field. It would not be very long before this very destructive storm would be upon the wheat field. If any of you have ever seen a wheat field when a bad storm with wind came through, it can literally lay it flat. The result can be losing the crop.

Then a commandment came from above to the combines, go into the field and harvest the crop. Those who were harvested were taken out of the field and brought into the barn just in time before the storm hit.

We all rejoiced and of coarse being yet a babe in Christ was just happy over the thought that I was going to be saved from that awful destruction. Little did I know at that time that the Lord was going to prepare me as a worker for Him in the harvest that would accrue in my life time. I tell you this because there are still a lot of people who do not believe that this event will happen in this generation. Now if the Lord says I'm going to be a worker in the harvest that He spoke of in Matthew 13, when I'M AN OLD MAN, think how close you are to this tremendous event.

Along the same line as wheat brought into the barn, I want to tell you of some sheep that were brought in. I had an experience with sheep when I raised them on the farm among other things. Through the years the event that took place always stuck in my mind as if it really meant something. Then when I became old the Lord put the puzzle together for me. The Lord let me know that the harvest to come will be much along the line of the experience that I had with the sheep. That which relates to the wheat field is the same as that which relates to the sheep.

On my farm I had a large barn, a long steer shed, another shed, chicken house, and metal corn crib. I had a habit when ever I wanted the sheep to come into one place for any reason. I would call to them very loud yelling, "hey ewe, hey ewe." The female sheep is called a ewe. They would come into the barn where I would reward them by feeding oats to them. I had a large cement feeding trough that went form one end to the other and they knew they always would get fed one of their favorite foods. The feeding trough was long enough so all of them could line up at one time and feed. I don't know how I got started doing this but it sure was helpful when I wanted to get them into one place.

Then it happened, it was around the middle of the day. I was walking toward the house facing west as I walked. The day was a beautiful clear day hardly a cloud in the sky. I happened to look toward the west and stopped dead in my tracks. There was a coal black line stretching as far as I could see to the left and to the right coming straight at me. It was so black and I never had seen anything like it. I knew there had to be a powerful wind to this thing because I could see a rolling dust cloud in front of it. It was not a tornado but another type of storm that I had never seen before, frightening to look at. I ran the rest of the way to the house got inside and told everyone that there was not time to explain. I got the wife and children into a safe place in the basement.

I then thought of all the sheep in the pasture. It had been lambing time just a short time before and I had little lambs all over the place. All I could think of then is all those sheep being killed or rolled up into the fence and badly hurt or perhaps both. I ran out into the barn yard which was up on a higher knoll, so I was looking slightly downward at the sheep in this pasture. The storm was so black and powerful looking and it was almost on top of us. I started yelling as loud as I could over the wind that was beginning to pickup. "HEY EWE, HEY EWE," over and over. I then saw a couple of ewes pickup their heads and look my way, then a few more, then all at once they all looked in my direction and began to run at a full run towards me. I kept yelling, "HEY EWE, HEY EWE." Then to my surprise when they got into the barnyard they didn't go to my left, to the building they had always gone to before, but in unison in one big swoop they turned to my right, into the open door of the large steer building. They all ran inside and stopped, turned and just stood there looking at me.

Everything was beginning to turn pitch black with a terrible wind as I was making my way towards the house. I joined my family in the basement just when everything turned so black that you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. I was hoping the house and buildings would stay intact.

When it was over I went out to assess the damage. All the livestock were safe and none of them hurt. My corn crib was no more but was seen across the field in bits and pieces. There was a 70 year old tree that came down in the barn yard, part of which was on top of my truck. In the years that followed I thought about that event from time to time. The Lord has allowed me to see that when the harvest begins, this is about how it will be except for a few differences.

The commandment will indeed come from the Father, whether you are talking about wheat or sheep, it is the same. Now the Lord is saying to me from the time of the commandment unto the time the sheep enter the building and the door shut will be a short time, only a few years. A Quick-work will the Lord do among His people to restore you into the mind of perfection, which is the mind of Jesus Christ. To purge away divisions, jealousy and envying in the minds of His people and bring His family into one Gospel, one building. The building is the Lord and is also the very refuge of God.

In the article, Cleaning House, I spoke of a veil being removed along with the sending of the angles. The removing of the veil will bring forth a work such as:

Isaiah 29:18-19 And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness. The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. Isaiah 29:24 They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.

This work of being able to see more will also be with tribulation.

Daniel 12:9-10 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

In the scripture above in Daniel, I want to draw your attention to the word (wise). Look at Matthew 25:6-12:

And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

The cry means notification and will come from the Father. The commandment will come to begin the ingathering. A little book will be given to Jesus to begin to break the seals. The harvest will then begin, angels will be sent and a veil will then begin to be removed. The virgins here are the Lord's people. Read what the apostle Paul says about them:

2 Corithians 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

The Lord says there are two groups among those whom have their names written in the Lambs book of life. The wise are those who believe every word that comes out of the mouth of Jesus. The foolish are those who have accepted another version of the gospel or change the Lord's Gospel into another one. They are lazy when the word is preached incorrectly and do not take the time to check the scriptures to see if it is so or not. You also see these two groups in Revelation. The wise in Rev. 12:14-16 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

The foolish in Rev. 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Rev 13:7-10 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any man have an ear, let him hear. He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

These two groups, one the wise in a place of safety, being fed and taken care of like Noah and his family in the ark. The foolish is not in the place of safety, not in the building like the wheat and sheep. These are exposed and overcome.

The marriage is a meaning which means you will become ONE with Jesus Christ. A fruit that will remain in Him as ONE. You will still be upon the earth but will have come up into that greater relationship and will be ready to preach His Gospel as He would and will in you to this last generation of every kindred, tongue, people and nation. The foolish did not prepare themselves in time to be as ONE and must be purged and made white another way. They will have to go through the fire another way.

When the Lord said "I know you not," He was not saying I don't know you as a person but was saying I don't know you as a person who has accepted My gospel as it is without changing it. It is like you and your house where you live. You would not allow someone else to come into your house and live which would harm your children, would you? Someone who would teach or tell your children unrighteous things, things that would harm them and are contrary to the word of your household? So is it also with the Lord's house. Because of this we all need to come into agreement with the Master of the house lest we be on the outside facing the storm.

May the Lord help us abundantly as we prepare.
